
Jessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born July 10, 1980. (1) She is an American actor, singer and businesswoman. Simpson aged 17 years old, started her singing career with church choirs. The singer was signed to Columbia Records in 1997. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) was a huge success, selling two million copies in the United States and saw the commercial success of her single "I Wanna Love You Forever". Simpson took on a more mature appearance for her second studio album Irresistible (2001). The album's song title was her second chart-topping entry on Billboard Hot 100. The Recording Industry Association of America declared it gold. This Skin (2003) was her third studio album. It was a huge success, selling three million copies in the United States. Simpson's previous career was characterized by her marriage to Nick Lachey. She also appeared on MTV's reality TV show Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica in 2003 and 2005. Simpson's debut film role as Daisy Duke was made in 2005, shortly after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). This album was awarded gold certification. The film's soundtrack also featured the song "These boots are made for Walking". The singer dropped her fifth studio album A Public Affair in 2006 as well as appearing in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. She also judged fashion designs for Fashion Star's two seasons from 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married Eric Johnson with whom she has three children.
