Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actor, singer, writer and producer. She is best known for her role as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own films Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle and is an artist. Benson attended the Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is also Jewish. Benson began appearing in other films, like The Killing Jar. Benson has also been featured in TV shows such as Morganville The Series. On camera, she utilized her creative writing abilities to create her character Ghosts of Albion and direct projects such as The 2010's Drones. Buffy says that around 1800 Slayers exist across the globe with 500 who belong to the Scooby Gang. Slayers may be awakened when the potentials reach the right maturity. Soledad, for example was awakened when she turned sixteen. Ruth Connell is set to be the character Rowena during the season 10 of Supernatural. She is apparently an old-fashioned, mysterious Witch.
