Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British composer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one of the original members of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, along with three of his classmates, formed a music group dubbed White Eskimo. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, they were also a part of the Battle of Bands in 2010. Although he has always expressed an interest in music but despite his enthusiasm for it, he wished to pursue a career as a lawyer and an physiotherapist. When he worked in the city's pastry shop Harry Styles managed to feed his family. Harry Styles performed Is not She Lovely (Stevie Wonder) at the auditions of 2010 in The X Factor. For that reason his band had to separate. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part of a new group named One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. During the competition the band sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls for the prize. However, they came in third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell did not get the win in the contest. But Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
