Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. She is an attractive, intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show led to her becoming popular for her role in the show on Ally McBeal, where she was Ling Woo. She translated her unexpected fame into major screen roles in movies like Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. Around this same time she was also in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce any results. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself as an established actor. Liu is extremely cautious when selecting her roles in order that she doesn't become the victim of a highly competition-driven industry. Although she is adamant about her heritage however, this has not hindered her in her work being an artist.
