Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish as well as English ancestry. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children, four are from Taylor's father's prior marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy, the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to master English with the intention of moving back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was required to enroll her. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At the age of 16, she quit college and began pursuing a career acting full-time. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and her dreams came true when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
